Other softphones

To configure a third-party software phone, have the following information ready:

IP address or DNS name of the Kerio Operator server
Extension number
SIP usernameAn username for authenticating provided by a SIP provider. and SIP passwordA password for authenticating provided by a SIP provider. associated with the phone extension (see topic Creating extensions). Note that the SIPSession Initiation Protocol - A communication protocol used for voice and video calls in Internet telephony or private IP telephone systems. password does not match the password used for connecting to Kerio Phone.
Information whether the extension will be behind NATNetwork address translation - A method that remaps IP addresses by changing network address information.. If so, configure the use account in Kerio Operator.
